About Mini Vandepol

After completing her 3-year term as Global Chair of Baker McKenzie's Investigations, Compliance & Ethics Group, Mini now manages over 50 lawyers as the Asia Pacific Head. Mini’s 30+ years of legal experience include 5 years with ANZ Banking Group and a further 18 years as a recognized commercial litigator in Australia. As a trusted advisor to an array of global clients across a variety of industries, Mini enjoys a reputation as a market leader in her field who balances risk with the commercial goals of her clients. In particular she is advising on how to build strong ESG programs, assess risks of acquisition targets and conduct complex cross-border investigations of corruption, sanctions, fraud, money laundering, human rights / modern slavery and MeToo allegations. Mini counsels clients who are exposed to US, UK, Australian and PRC enforcement authorities. She is also one of Hong Kong's preeminent go-to legal advisors when it comes to business implications of the first-of-its-kind Hong Kong National Security Law (NSL) which came into effect on 1 July 2020.
