About Minjee Son

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Georgia, where I developed a strong foundation in neuroscience, mental health, and clinical research. During my undergraduate studies, I worked closely with clients in hospice care, supporting individuals with neurological and behavioral disorders. Additionally, I was part of a research team in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, studying the effects of cannabinoid intake on the frontal lobe and hindbrain to improve the quality of life for those with medical needs. Driven by a deep passion for helping others, I chose to further my education by pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Georgia. While my interest in neuroscience and clinical research remains strong, my experiences have reinforced my dedication to mental health and well-being. This journey led me to shift my long-term goal from becoming an MD to pursuing licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My mission is to provide evidence-based, client-centered care that empowers individuals to overcome life's challenges and foster meaningful, positive change. I’m always eager to connect with like-minded professionals and explore opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the mental health field.
