Background

About Minna Suominen

With over 15 years of experience in education, I currently serve as a principal and have held various roles in teaching, leadership, and educational administration. My journey spans from working with students in grades 1 to 9 and in kindergarten settings to contributing to the development of basic education administration in a large city. I’ve also gained valuable insights through educational consulting in the edtech sector and as an international speaker on Finnish education. I am deeply committed to fostering student and teacher wellbeing, enhancing co-teaching practices, and creating dynamic learning environments that integrate physical spaces, school culture, pedagogical approaches, and technology. I am open to international consulting projects and collaborations that drive innovation in education. I’m particularly interested in networking with like-minded professionals across the globe to share expertise and develop impactful solutions for schools. I’m continuously enhancing my skillset, particularly in wellbeing, mental health, and educational leadership, having recently earned a certificate in educational administration. Colleagues know me as an approachable and collaborative leader with strong analytical and communication skills, both in one-on-one interactions and in front of larger audiences.
