My current projects: • To establish targeted alpha therapy for neuroblastoma treatment • To use 211At labelled MABG (targeting hNET) and 211At labelled MM4 (targeting PARP1) for neuroblastoma targeted therapy Previously I focused on using small molecule kinase inhibitors to target signaling pathways for melanoma treatment. Our published studies have shown that mutation in the MEK2 as a developing cause for developing drug resistance. We also have identified a combination regime to target multiple pathways for an effective therapy for melanoma. I developed an organoid model from patient derived xenograft tumors. Organoid models simulate tumor microenvironment in 3D culture system without limitation or availability of patient samples. This platform helped to screen drugs and validate the candidate targets. I am a very motivated, detailed oriented, dedicated researcher, socially likable and fast learner. I have expertise in cell signaling mechanisms in cancer research, targeted therapies with kinase inhibitors in melanoma, gene pathway analysis, cell culture; cellular and molecular biology techniques, virology techniques, cell based assays; ELISA; cell viability and proliferation assays; Lentiviral production; knock down expression by short hair pin RNA; Flow cytometry; apoptosis and toxicity, kinase assays and cell cycle analysis; Protein biochemistry; Western Blots, Immunohistochemistry, GLP techniques; experience in handling high throughput instruments, Microarrays (aCGH) and SNP chip arrays, animal experience, writing SOP for clinical trials in a GLP lab, IRB protocol experience; help in grant and manuscript writing, writing application for small NIH funding.
