Source: About the Author - PhD thesis: As a qualified Cardiologist she transferred to Maastricht UMC+, where she currently combines Research, Education and Clinical Patient Care. The primary emphasis of her scientific work involves the intersection between non-invasive imaging and cardiac arrhythmias. She completed her thesis within four years next to her clinical tasks. Clinical and Research ambitions align, being the imaging cardiologist of the interventional CMR (iCMR) team in the MUMC+. Her passion for Education led to the role of Educational Coordinator of the Department of Cardiology. She is engaged in the Recogntion & Rewards programme, a national movement focused on diverse academic career profiles. Finally, she has sparked her Departement to constructively discuss ‘Topics beyond the Medical’ like interpersonal recognition and group dynamics, hosting monthly 'Super Staff' sessions with Cardiologists, interns and PhD students.
