Background
About Miranda Charbonneau
After earning my Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Science with an option in Child Development at Oregon State University, I began teaching preschool at Peninsula Children's Learning Center in Portland, OR. After a year, I accepted a position with Kids Co. in Seattle, WA as a Pre-K Teacher at John Muir Elementary. I have had a wonderful opportunity to work closely with the Kindergarten team, as well as, Early Achievers to better plan and implement activities that will prepare kindergarten-readiness. I am now back in Portland, OR working as a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant in the David Douglas School District. I work side by side with the classroom teacher to enhance the learning for these kindergarteners. I plan to keep gaining experience and develop as a teacher, then continue with a Master's of Arts in Teaching. I would like to work toward some type of endorsement in Special Education, English as a Second Language, or Reading Specialist. After earning a teaching license, I plan to teach elementary school (K-5).
