About Miranda Ford

Originally from Skillman, NJ, I now work at Perkins Eastman DC as an Architect. Previously, I went to Carnegie Mellon University, where I completed my B.Arch in December 2018 and Masters of Science in Sustainable Design in May 2019 while also competing on the Women’s Varsity Swimming and Diving Team. My interest in architecture stems from a love of creative design and a passion for practical, sustainable environments. In my experiences as a professional designer, devoted student and dedicated athlete, I have become a balanced individual with strengths in group collaboration, public presentation, and beyond. As a professional, my primary experience has been in k-12 projects, while I have also worked on mixed-use, residential, and senior living projects across all phases. I focus on integrating sustainable design as an architect and sustainability lead with experience on high-performing projects, including those pursuing Net-Zero Energy, WELL, and LEED Platinum certification. Outside the office, I am a team leader for the ACE DC Mentor Program at Dunbar HS and member of the AIA.
