About Miranda Hine

As a curator, arts writer, museums researcher and artist, I have experience across curation, collections, museum policy and exhibition management. My experience includes managing corporate art collections, commercial gallery spaces, artist engagement, object handling and installation, and interpretation. I have curated and delivered major museum exhibitions across art, design, fashion and social histories. As a writer I have worked closely with artists to write exhibition catalogues, articles, applications and biographies, written for publications including the Australasian Journal of Popular Culture and Garland Magazine, and was nominated for a Queensland Premier’s Young Publishers and Writers Award in 2022. A fascination with museum narratives and collections, particularly in an Australian context, pushes me to examine how artists and communities can shed new light on the stories that museums tell. My own art practice aligns closely with my museum research interests.
