About Miranda Klaver
As an anthropologist and theologian questions regarding the relationship between culture and religion are at the core of my interests. My research focusses on trends in evangelical, charismatic and pentecostal movements in the Netherlands and internationally. The expression of new and renewal movements within the broad spectrum of the Christian tradition, like the rise and impact of megachurches and global networks, contineously challenge me as researcher of religion. Next to my work as a researcher, I enjoy teaching and training in the field of anthropology of religion with a special focus on Christianity; evangelical theology and practices, gender and religion and media. Specialties: Anthropology of Religion, Anthropology of Christianity, Evangelicalism & Pentecostalism in the Netherlands and the English speaking world.
