About Miranda Lopez

Miranda is a storyteller with a passion to change the world through sustainability, community advocacy, and innovation. She recently graduated with her Masters in Social Work with an emphasis in Policy, Advocacy and Program Evaluation from the University of Southern California. She is currently working as a Client Advocate with Partners for Justice (PFJ), a nonprofit organization transforming public defenders into a robust network of dynamic, people-centered service centers to reduce incarceration, increase equity, and positively impact the lives of those harmed by cycles of incarceration, poor health, and poverty. She, along with her colleagues, act as a member of the defense team in order to aid their clients in successfully reintegrating into society. At PFJ, she has gained experience in program evaluation, grant proposals, and case management. Miranda was also an intern for Mosaic Education Initiative (MEI), a non-profit with the mission of investing in determined youth around the world who are transitioning out of the foster care system, or are asylum seeking, through mentorship and scholarship resources. She has built skills in writing for funders, Case Management, Communication, Program Development, Event Planning, Trauma Informed Care, Cultural Competency Training, and more. Miranda is excited for this next chapter in her professional journey where she will implement all of the knowledge she has accrued in global mission and development work as well as her MSW program.
