Background
About Miranda Pugh
An experienced lawyer, business executive, and non-profit leader with a deep passion for making a positive impact in the world. Today, I serve as the Executive Director of Development for Queen's Law School in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, supporting the talented faculty, staff and students, and a remarkable team committed to the work we do with our alumni and donors to make a difference in legal education and access to justice across Canada. In the past, I have served as the Director of Development for the University of Tulsa College of Engineering, as well as the leader of development efforts for other small non-profit organizations. I am as passionate about philanthropic donors, and honoring the gifts they provide to their communities, as I am about servant leadership, and the support I provide to my team. After graduating with honors from The University of Tulsa College of Law, I served as the President of a Tulsa Oklahoma business, Spectrum Services. Growing the business from start-up to 14 employees and managing extensive projects and facilities on behalf of our clients. I'm a born entrepreneur, starting my first business at the age of 10, and continuing my enthusiasm for start-up work as an adult that has also extended to multiple Airbnb properties, as well as my own successful legal practice. Born and raised in a small town in southeastern Oklahoma, and a proud member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, my passion for helping others and service has been a lifelong pursuit. I served as an English teacher in a remote area of Namibia in the year following my graduation from Cornell University and today I serve on the board of the International Intra-Indigenous Trade and Investment Organization.
