About Miray Colbert

As a People Operations Benefits Specialist at Checkers & Rally’s, I play a central role in the administration and strategic execution of our company-wide employee benefits programs. As one of only two professionals overseeing benefits for the entire organization, I manage a wide range of responsibilities including leave of absence administration, 401(k) funding and compliance, vendor relations, and ACA and OSHA reporting. I’m the primary point of contact for benefits-related employee relations, managing everything from FMLA, personal leave, and ADA accommodations to retirement plan audits, open enrollment, and benefit deduction tracking. I work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure that our programs remain compliant, efficient, and employee-focused. My background also includes expertise in benefits system audits, file feeds, census management, and employee education through new hire benefit orientations. I take pride in combining analytical precision with empathetic service to enhance the employee experience and strengthen organizational compliance. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Carlow University, with additional certifications in HR best practices and ethical leadership. I’m passionate about growing within the areas of Benefits Strategy, Total Rewards, and HR Analytics.
