About Mircea Danut Popescu

In 2019, after two decades of leading brick-and-mortar operations in C-level roles at international companies such as Rondocarton, including 15 years as Managing Director at Mayr-Melnhof Packaging, Hirsch Gruppe, and the global giant Saint-Gobain (Weber), I made the bold decision to pursue my vision. I transitioned from the corporate world to the dynamic startup ecosystem because I firmly believe digital technologies, combined with empathetic leadership, can transform workplaces. As a co-founder and CEO, I embraced the challenges of building a digital product from the ground up. Our initial vision was to enhance customer experience by connecting physical products to the internet through NFC-embedded labels and allowing consumers to interact with brands easily using their smartphones. This idea gained traction, and our proof-of-concept demonstrated its feasibility in the market. When the pandemic struck, we pivoted and adapted, developing touchless, remote, and data-driven solutions to meet emerging market demands. In 2022, a groundbreaking collaboration with Adrem Technologies Middle East enabled us to extend our offerings. We integrated all four AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture) technologies (barcode, QR code, NFC (near-field communication), and RFID (Radiofrequency identification) to address inventory, fixed assets, event, and warranty management challenges.
