About Mircea Stan

First and foremost, my main goal is to provide value to the customers. My job, everything I do in my position is just a means to an end, that customers can benefit from what I do. I have been working with customers, either internal or external, during all stages of a product’s life cycle, from analysis and design to support and maintenance, each requiring its particular set of skills. I have started my journey a while ago in front-end development, coding mostly in PHP at that time. After a while, I made the transition to back-end development, through a brief stint with C++. Today, my focus is mostly on Java and its ecosystem. Though I had my ups and downs, I could say that my experience is broad, that my growth has been constant throughout the years. Lately, my role has been of a software architect, but with a real passion for code. I believe that an architect's place is part of a team, working side by side with the other members of the team and driving the implementation of the design down to the source code. I am continuously learning, keeping up with the latest in our industry and how these new technologies are disrupting old settled patterns. At the same time, I see the value provided by legacy products to customers and how this value can be significantly increased by pinpointed and targeted improvements. Innovation can be achieved in every environment.
