About Miroslav Mitic

I am a Deputy CEO at Centro Financiero Empresarial, a leading financial institution in Panama that provides loans and other services to small and medium enterprises. I accumulated over 18 years of experience in banking and microfinance, working in Europe, Central and South America, and supporting the mission of eradicating poverty and improving the quality of lives in developing and emerging markets. As a senior banker, a chief commercial officer, and a member of the management board, I have developed strong analytical, managerial, and operational skills, and have led and supervised teams of up to 300 employees and clients. I have also designed and implemented strategies and policies to increase loan portfolio, branch network, and customer retention. I hold an MBA degree from Washington State University, with a major in finance and business administration, and I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Serbian. I am passionate about small business lending, and I have a deep knowledge of the needs and challenges of this segment. I am always looking for new opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to the development of the microfinance sector.
