I am Peruvian and Japanese. I am a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience advancing equitable health outcomes for First Nation communities across Ontario. My work centers on health policy analysis, program implementation, and community-based advocacy, with a focus on improving access to essential services through initiatives such as the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program and Jordan’s Principle. Grounded in a deep respect for Indigenous rights and self-determination, I strive to build strong relationships between communities, service providers, and government partners. My approach blends policy expertise with a people-centered lens—ensuring that solutions are not only effective but also culturally grounded and sustainable. Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my ability to navigate complex systems, foster collaboration, and bring clarity and compassion to challenging situations. I am passionate about creating pathways for systemic change that reflect fairness, accountability, and the shared goal of community well-being.
