Misha Thomas is a social entrepreneur and community development professional dedicated to building equitable, resilient local economies. As a Transformative Development Fellow with MassDevelopment, Misha leads place-based revitalization in Taunton by fostering cross-sector partnerships, advancing creative economy initiatives, and securing sustainable investments through community benefits agreements. With a background in business development, social enterprise, and food systems, Misha has generated over in new opportunities for minority-owned businesses and built partnerships with leading institutions across Massachusetts. Her work bridges public, private, and nonprofit sectors to create inclusive economic ecosystems that center community voice and long-term sustainability. Prior, Misha led the charge in reopening Roxbury's Haley House Bakery Cafe, guiding the team the pandemic. Taking creative initiative, Misha curated a Black-Owned beer garden and organized an Indigenous non-Thanksgiving, alongside spearheading Roxbury's first Pride Concert. Currently pursuing an MBA in sustainability and international business at Northeastern University, Misha acts as a mentor, providing invaluable guidance to emerging small businesses.
