About Missy Cassidy

Missy Cassidy offers over 30 years of experience in transportation policy, regulatory and legislative issues. As an official with the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), she was an advisor to eight Secretaries of Transportation dealing with policy issues, federal and state funding, regulation and legislation. She has extensive knowledge of a broad range of transportation topics including seaports and knowledge of federal and state legislative processes as well as strategy development. As director of policy for MDOT, she initiated a working group with the Baltimore District USACE officials and MDOT MPA to coordinate the pursuit of federal funds for the Dredged Material Management Program. At EcoLogix Group, Missy leads the design and development of stakeholder engagement and outreach planning. She has provided strategic analysis and recommendations to seaport clients for enhanced organizational interface with all vertical levels of the US Army Corps through the transformation of the federal planning and budgetary process. Missy has conducted research and provided strategic planning program development to revitalize the AAPA Quality Partnership Initiative, and supported MDOT MPA executives in their roles with national organizations and coalitions. Missy designs and leads large scale organizational and sustainability Assessments. Prior to joining EcoLogix Group in 2010, Missy was an independent transportation consultant providing strategic planning and policy support for private business, governments and associations in the pursuit of federal funding, state business and government relations. Missy served on the Board of Directors of the South River Federation, was a member of the Northeast States Rail Transportation Task Force and participated on the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Committees on Environment and Rail Transportation. Missy holds a Master of Science in Resource Development from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas.
