About Misti Poulos

My research study was on the relationship between psychological distress and spiritual maturity among new clients seeking counseling. My teaching experience includes Testing & Assessment and Practicum Supervisor for master-level counseling students. Supervision provides knowledge of best practices in counseling, application and practice of legal and ethical guidelines, crisis management, appropriate use of interventions, and professional file maintenance. Psychometrics provides appropriate knowledge to administer testing and assessment instruments. The outline includes: Identification of instruments that are appropriate for the measurement of intelligence, achievement, and personality. Conduct an assessment using various methods such as clinical interviews, informal tools and standardized instruments Interpret a battery of instruments in order to complete a psychological evaluation.**The battery included the Beck Depression Inventory, Slosson Intelligence Test, Rotter Incomplete Sentence, Myers-Briggs, and the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test. I have studied quantitative & qualitative research and have designed interview protocols. I have conducted statistical procedures (in SPSS) such as linear/multiple regression and cross tabulation.
