About Misty Long

I have been in the healthcare field for over 16 years and have gained experience in many areas of the field throughout the years. I have been in small offices which have required me to assist in administrative duties, scheduling, billing and coding, as well as the clinical side where I worked side by side with doctors and other caregivers. I am currently employed in a larger Family Practice where I am the phone triage medical assistant and assist patients with medical problems over the phone, provide education, and communicate with many other professionals regarding the care of our patients. I will graduate in June 2017 from Colorado Technical University with a BS Business Management with focus on Healthcare. I have completed coursework in management, business strategy, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, marketing, insurance, coding and billing, and more. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family while going to the beach, in the boat, or just enjoying a day in our yard with our dog, Violet. I also enjoy reading, cooking, and crafting.
