As a Director and Family Business Advisor at Equations, I guide business owners, promoters, and families-in-business in establishing a culture of governance within their families and organizations. I assist multi-generational families in aligning their vision and values, personal aspirations and business roles through developing Family Policies, Family Constitution, and Family Boards. These family governance structures foster harmony, transparency, and manage conflicts effectively. I specialize in leadership and ownership succession planning, mentoring the next- generation for future roles, and building legacy businesses. I am a Certified Family Business Advisor (CFBA) from the Family Firm Institute, USA, and a qualified Management Consultant with 25 + years of experience. As an Independent Director, I am on the Boards of public listed companies acoss industry verticals and a member/Chair of Audit, NRC and other committees. I am a member of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and have received IICA-NFRA Director's Certification for Audit Committee Member. During my career spanning over 25 years, I have worked in my family's business, with Indian corporates and overseas. My forte has been strategic marketing, market research, and organizational development. As an advisor, I have interacted with over 200 owner-families and entrepreneurs and helped them on governance, growth, next-gen transition, succession, and ownership strategies. I am a PhD from BITS Pilani university. My research has been on "Conflict in Indian family businesses." Have a Chemical Engineering background and Masters in Marketing Management from Mumbai University. I am passionate about research on family business issues. Have co-authored "The 5Gs of family business," a well received book published by Sage. Have written award winning case-studies and peer reviewed research papers. I speak at Industry forms, seminars on family business issues and media ofter takes my views on related topics. As a visiting faculty, I teach and conduct workshops at family business management programs of renowned business schools.
