Background
About Mita Mallick
I’ve been obsessed with storytelling for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I loved watching commercials instead of actual tv shows (still do!) I loved going to the store with my mom, studying all the new packaging and products on the shelf, testing and trying new things. I loved going to the movies. I loved curling up on the couch with a good mystery novel. I loved scribbling in my pink notebook around the world around me. But as a kid, I didn’t see many stories being told that included people who looked like me. I was the funny looking dark skinned girl, with a long funny looking braid, whose parents spoke funny English. Until it wasn't funny anymore. I was bullied by my peers for years. And I just desperately wanted to fit in. I wanted to belong. As both a Marketing executive and HR executive, I have always believed that the best ideas come from a range of perspectives. Because when different life experiences, viewpoints, and backgrounds come together to challenge each other and collaborate. That’s where true innovation happens. Innovation that genuinely resonates with employees, customers and communities. Today, I’m on a mission to fix what’s broken in our workplaces. My days are filled with serving as an advisor to executives and leadership teams, partnering with 1:1 coaching clients (this includes career coaching and book coaching), speaking on small and big stages, serving as a LinkedIn Learning Instructor and doing lots and lots of writing. And yes, I do all of my own writing. I hope my two books, The Devil Emails at Midnight: What Good Leaders Can Learn From Bad Bosses and Reimagine Inclusion: Debunking 13 Myths to Transform Your Workplace, can serve as a resource to you and your teams. You can find them on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or your local independent bookstore. Please feel free to DM me on any collaboration opportunities or if I can help you and your teams!*I don't use virtual assistants, and I don't use AI to generate my content. So when I comment or write back, it's really me. I own all my All powered by a human who is powered by lots of tea.*
