About Mitch Hallam
With a passion for research and furthering our understanding of cardiometabolic disease, I have spent recent years studying and working at various medical institutions. During this time, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science and recently completed my honours in biomedical research at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, focusing on liver metabolism. Presently I am working through the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and Royal Melbourne Hospital focusing of Fatty Liver Disease and Pancreatic Cancer. Outside of my tertiary education, I have held various positions across a number of industries, in particular, healthcare, teaching, sales and e-commerce. Where I can, I coach youth water polo at various clubs, including Richmond Water polo and State squads. This passion stemmed from my previous experience as an athlete in the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) and national Water Polo Teams.
