About Mitchell A. Flagg

With twenty years of experience in criminal prosecution, I am a Crown Counsel at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General - Serious Fraud Office, where I provide pre- and post-charge advice and prosecution support to investigators of serious and complex financial crimes. I also lead trials of these cases in court, develop policy, and educate other Crown attorneys on financial crimes. As a co-director of the Financial Crimes Summer School Course, I share my expertise and passion for fighting fraud and organized crime with my colleagues and peers. I have a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Criminal Law and Procedure from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Journalism from Columbia University, which enable me to conduct rigorous legal research, write clear and persuasive legal arguments, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. I have been recognized with international and provincial awards for my outstanding performance and achievements in prosecution. I am committed to upholding the rule of law, protecting the public interest, and advancing justice.
