I am gratified by my opportunities to help civically engage the public, learn the fundamentals of political philosophy and public administration, and improve my abilities to logically and concisely make valid arguments.My current job as the Zoning Administrator for the Village of Schiller Park has brought me to the front lines of real-world, practical decision-making regarding land usage in the Village. This includes, zoning interpretations, text amendment proposals, and economic development projects throughout the Village.Prior to my full-time job with Schiller Park, my Administrative Internship with the Village led to many new duties/skill building, including acting as the primary FOIA Officer, aiding with FEMA grants, and managing minor Village projects.My time as an intern for Illinois PIRG helped improve my public speaking ability, requiring me, in my first semester at UIUC, to speak in front of classes ranging from 10 people to nearly 500.
