About Mitchell Borst

From May 2025 Mitchell is working at GKN Fokker Aerospace in Papendrecht as an End to End Supply Chain Lead. In this role he is driving products through the line with as goal on-time delivery to the customer. Before that, from October 2022 until May 2025, Mitchell was a production manager at the milling section of the Direct Sheet Plant of Tata Steel IJmuiden. In this role he was the linking pin between the shop floor and the offices. He mitigated urgent production issues by interviewing shop floor employees and by using his data analysis skills. Mitchell started this function after having done the Technical Traineeship in which he did varies improvement projects for the different factories on site. In April 2020 he graduated at the Delft University of Technology. During his studies he has bee secretary of the VSV 'Leonardo da Vinci', the student society of Aerospace Engineering of the TU Delft with 2500+ members, 100+ activities per annum and with an Aerospace symposium for 500+ visitors each year, for which he was responsible during his board year. Next to the academic extra-curricular activities, Mitchell has done a five month internship for Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. His internship was marked as 'excellent' by his supervisor and manager.
