About Mitchell Collin

I started my career working in design of academic and cultural facilities, but made the transition to focus exclusively on healthcare design. I've designed all manner of facilities from small regional and critical access hospitals, to community and general hospitals, to specialty hospitals, to medical cities. My background is in exterior design, but I also have background in master plan, site plan, and campus design. While I have performed typical design responsibilities, I have recently lead significant project teams and consultants both internal and external, in the design of major + bed medical facilities. Along with managing project teams, I have typical project management experience and have served as the lead designer and main client contact for several projects. I have significant experience in the design of cancer facilities and in sustainable (LEED) healthcare design, for which I care deeply. I recently became a Certified Lean Green Belt. While a majority of my work has been in the United States, I enjoy traveling internationally and have done extensive work in the Middle East and in Egypt.
