About Mitchell Deardurff

As an ambitious student at the Kelley School of Business, attention to detail is an aspect I am all too familiar with. Working alongside incredibly talented individuals at Pedcor Investments, LLC gave me the opportunity to develop many critical and professional skills, as well as the ability to be a great collaborator. With aspirations of being the most well-rounded, young professional, working directly with customers in a business to client workspace at IGS Energy allowed me to continue developing the personable and soft skills that help me be adaptable and quick on my feet in order to best fit the needs of the customer. Additionally, the positions with both Pedcor and IGS Energy gave me the opportunity to gain professional experience in a positive working environment during a period economic struggle which provided additional obstacles and challenges to overcome. These experiences grew my collaborative and communication skills exponentially, which has allowed for me to excel in many different professional environments. The Kelley course curriculum has provided me the chance to further develop leadership and communication traits through extensive, collaborative bodies of work. Currently, as a brother of Alpha Kappa Lambda, the fastest growing Greek organization at Indiana University, I have been apart of the Rush Committee which works to expand the network of the organization. To that end, my time in Bloomington has granted far more leadership and professional experience than I could have imagined, and I'm looking to build and expand my own personal network, skills, and abilities to take any necessary steps to making a difference in the workforce.
