About Mitchell Haddad

Mitchell D. Haddad is Chair of New York Real Estate Litigation at Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. He litigates a wide variety of real estate disputes including foreclosure, landlord/tenant, co-op/condo, vendor/purchaser, valuation, lien law, zoning, and title. He also focuses on shareholder/member, corporate and LLC business disputes and torts. Some of Mr. Haddad’s more notable accomplishments include obtaining a federal court judgment discharging a willfully exaggerated mechanic’s lien against an office building in Midtown Manhattan and simultaneously obtaining an money judgment for the building owner, which included a 100% recovery of the client’s attorneys’ fees; repossessing a $300 million dollar jumbo jet; prosecuting/defending foreclosure actions involving development properties, a power plant, office and apartment buildings, and other commercial properties; obtaining deficiency judgments in excess of $50 million dollars; and enforcement of non-compete agreement prohibiting a national elevator cab company from doing business in the New York metropolitan area. Mr. Haddad is a faculty member of the Practicing Law Institute lecturing on real estate litigation since 2011. He has been recognized as a New York Metro Super Lawyer in real estate from 2012 to the present, and in The Best Lawyers in America, 2022 - 2026 Editions, for Commercial Litigation and Real Estate.
