About Mitchell Hopper

Hello! I'm Mitchell Hopper, a creative and scientifically minded 23 year old materials and metallurgical engineer. I've always found that if I'm truly passionate about something, nothing can stop me from achieving my goals. I work best in team settings, or with a group of like minded individuals to bounce ideas off of to problem solve and achieve the best outcome. As evident from my resume, I quickly pick up new skills and techniques whenever necessary. I combine traditional problem solving, research, and lateral thinking to answer questions and complete projects in every aspect of my life, whether that involves lab work or engineering problems, or projects in my personal life. I'm a strong believer in constantly learning new things inside and outside of your expertise, as you never know when that carpentry video you watched will spark inspiration for a more effective mounting technique for SEM, or your experience in powder metallurgy will help you brew a more interesting batch of mead. Additionally, I'm a firm believer from that interpersonal relationships and freedom of expression are useful and necessary tools to achieve goals, but I do also believe that professionalism and scientific accuracy are paramount in any engineering setting.
