About Mitchell Oleson

I am a seasoned Firmware Engineer with a strong foundation in FPGA design and development, currently working as a Senior FPGA Engineer at Attollo Engineering, a leading innovator in infrared imaging and laser sensing systems. In this role, I lead firmware development for a range of high-impact projects, covering all layers from low-level hardware to sophisticated user interfaces. My expertise in Verilog, C, and C# enables me to deliver optimized, high performance solutions that address complex technical challenges. Beyond my expertise in FPGA and firmware development, I am actively broadening my skill set to include Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and containerization technologies. My focus is on creating reproducible, scalable environments that streamline development, testing, and deployment processes. I hold a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering, which has shaped my interdisciplinary approach to tackling complex engineering problems. I excel in collaborative environments that push technical boundaries to create innovative solutions.
