Self-made entrepreneur, online publisher and marketer. Skilled in business development, digital marketing, process development, automation, problem solving, and identifying emerging opportunities. Clients include retailers, manufacturers, vendors and distributors. On June 6, 1994 I took over a struggling Texaco gas station. Within a few months the business was thriving and soon tripled in volume. On Sept. 6, 1994 I opened Schaffer's Safe & Sound. The business successfully sold mobile electronics and personal communication equipment to the local market. In 2003, I changed the name to Mobile Edge. Mobile Edge was named one of the top retailers of its kind in the US every year from 2008-2018. In 2010, we were named Mobile Electronics Retailer of the Year, the highest retail award in the industry. In 2005, when I realized that traditional advertising was no longer working, I began to use online marketing to promote Mobile Edge. This strategy proved effective and Mobile Edge began attracting clients from neighboring states. I soon phased out all traditional advertising relying exclusively on email, social media and content marketing. In June of 2023 I sold Mobile Edge in order to focus my full attention on 1sixty8 media. In 2012, I launched 1sixty8 media, a digital marketing and business solutions agency focused on the mobile enhancement industry. We quickly grew our client base and today we work with many top retailers. In 2016, 1sixty8 media launched Resource Library, a curated collection of content available to mobile enhancement retailers as a subscription. In January 2018, 1sixty8 media became the exclusive reseller of the Mitchell1 ProDemand software for the mobile enhancement industry. In October of 2018, we launched BestCarAudio.com as a consumer facing website dedicated to educating interested consumers about the many opportunities for upgrading their vehicles and directing them to vendors and retailers who provide these products and service. This quickly evolved into the premier online destination serving the mobile enhancement industry. 1sixty8 media is currently building new products and services and we are always looking for ambitious and talented people to add to our team.
