About Mitchell Sylvia

At 16 years old, I began my college education at Bard College at Simon's Rock. There I completed my AA in Liberal Arts, with a heavy focus in Computer Science and Computer Engineering at age 18. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's of Science in Computer Engineering at UMass Amherst. At age 19, I joined Rivian Automotive as an Advanced Manufacturing Tools Intern in software. I believe in working hard, and making the world a better place for all, regardless of who you are, where you come from, or what you enjoy. I absolutely adore spreading my knowledge and experiences to help others in any way possible. My career interests lie in EVs, themed entertainment, consumer electronics, and artificial intelligence. In my free time, I enjoy 3D-printing prop replicas, playing guitar, photography, videography, skiing, playing tennis, running, playing golf, programming, learning new subjects, and working on motorcycles. My projects include: Muse, an iOS music sharing and streaming app that utilizes Apple Music and Spotify SDKs to offer a multi-platform seamless experience. Through this project, I am learning how to develop in the SwiftUI environment. I was the project head of the Simon's Rock Motorcycle Club electric motorcycle project. Here we are working on converting a Suzuki Katana 600 from petrol to electric power. The project has finished bench testing, and is moving towards full conversion.
