About Mitchell van Den Adel

My tenacious and disciplined nature have helped me tremendously in completing my Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management at one of the world’s leading business schools. During the four years of working on this Ph.D, I have developed my areas of expertise to include operations management, collaboration within and among teams and organizations, and dealing with disruptions (i.e, becoming resilient). Currently, I use this expertise in my position as Supply Chain Manager at Royal Koopmans in Leeuwarden. As a former professional water polo player, I perform well under pressure and enjoy working in a team setting (and the challenges that come with it). Taking initiative comes naturally to me, which—together with my competitive character—motivates me to continuously broaden my professional and interpersonal skills.
