About Mitchell Vezina

At MITRE, our team focuses on enhancing cloud infrastructure security, developing secure authentication systems, and leading innovative Red Team operations. Leveraging Python, Kubernetes, and Ansible, we’ve streamlined automated deployments, ensuring robust data integrity and proactive defense mechanisms. My Computer Science background with a specialization in Cyber/Network Security from the University of Maine supports my expertise in tackling these complex challenges. I have led the deployment and implementation of RHEL 9 with STIG-compliant Keycloak within an air-gapped infrastructure, securing OIDC authentication with x509 CAC for systems like GitLab. This involved configuring TLS/HTTPS communication using Certificate Authority (CA) certificates, reinforcing secure identity management. My role extends to researching emerging cybersecurity trends, advancing threat intelligence, and developing targeted mitigations against sophisticated adversarial techniques. Additionally, I contribute to cyber resiliency research, MITRE ATT & CK, and CREF Navigator, further strengthening cybersecurity frameworks. As a holder of a US Top Secret/SCI Clearance, I am committed to applying my knowledge and expertise to fortify our national cyber defenses against evolving threats.
