About Mitchell Yap

Having a very short-lived stint as an intern of an investment banking alongside a much longer stint as a business development executive at an audio-visual consultancy, it was clear to me that the beaten path is the one for me. The BD role may be for a small boutique consultancy but the element of creation came with satisfaction and fulfillment. With that, the path for me was rather clear: to start something that I can call my own; because that would be the ultimate level of creation. The matter of what to create was a lot less clear. After a long duration of trying to be creative, an idea was born - Kobae. I dedicated more than a year to building Kobae with different Co-Founders and an ever-evolving team. Kobae is now on hiatus as my Co-Founders chose to leave due to their prioritisation of a stable careers - I wish them all the best! As Kobae remain in hiatus, I am actively seeking sales role still within the vibrant Start-Up community or in the Venture Capital space so do hit me up if you are hiring or link me up if you think there is someone I ought to know!
