About Mithilen Mathipalan

My role as Ontario and Social Action Coordinator involves spearheading the province's campaign against child and family poverty. With over 10 years dedicated to social justice, my mission is rooted in creating impactful change through strategic advocacy and community engagement. Our team's efforts culminate in the influential provincial report card, a benchmark for social and economic progress. Previously, as the Campaigns and Equity Coordinator at York Federation of Students, my focus was on fostering equity and defending student rights. We collaborated on initiatives that supported marginalized groups, leveraging my competencies in crisis management, community outreach, and project management. Together, we have championed several long-standing campaigns, addressing systemic issues from rape culture to Islamophobia, and striving for accessible education for all.
