About Mithun Darji

PROFILE Mithun has received his Post Graduate Diploma in Product Design from National Institute of Design (NID)- India's premier design school. He has a previous degree in Architecture. He worked for many companies and also worked with US based individual inventor to develop their respective patents. He also developed various self initiated projects to give an enrich experience to user in this digital world. His areas of interest are digital design design psychology need based design renewable/ recycled design product and brand development. Outside of work he likes biking swimming and long sleep over the weekend. EXPERIENCE IDEA PRODUCT DESIGN AHMEDABAD -- APRIL 2007- PRESENT IDEA product design is consultant to many companies and also help US based individual inventors to develop their patents. Mithun is project lead for the Indian clients as well as US clients. This is very good platform for him where he worked with multidisciplinary product range. WHIRLPOOL DELHI -- JUNE 2006-FEBRUARY 2007 Whirlpool-india has very good presence in refrigeration units for middle class segment. The task was to redesign one of their highest selling product. The challenge was to reduce the cost and increase the aesthetic of the same. After rigorous process the solution is very simple and yet effective. The new refrigerator product is launched 2008. ABHIKALP DESIGN -- OCTOBER 2005- NOVEMBER 2005 Abhikalp Design studio based on Indore has major clients are from an Automobile. The task was to design and develop the aesthetic part of the utility vehicles. Mithun has worked on the Ashok-Leyland brand identity project. CEPT AHMEDABAD-VISITING FACULTY Center for Environmental Planning and Technology provides a creative environment to students. He is taking lectures on System design Furniture design.
