About Mitra Khalili

Driven by a passion for environmental sustainability, a significant part of my work experience involved green management, where I served as the team leader for the 'Green University' project under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in the 'Green School' project for the Ministry of Education. These leadership roles have honed my skills in problem-solving and policy-making, complementing my architectural expertise. As a registered Architect in Iran with a master degree in Architecture and Energy, I have dedicated my professional career to sustainable design and low-energy buildings. Over the past decade, I've immersed myself in numerous projects at the intersection of architecture and environmental sustainability, contributing to both practical implementations and research endeavours. Inspired by a profound passion for fostering environmental sustainability, I embarked on a journey to expand my knowledge and gain a comprehensive perspective. This led me to enrol in the Master of Sustainability program at the University of Sydney, a decision that has significantly enriched my understanding of climate change science and policies, carbon footprint and input-output analysis. My unique blend of architectural creativity and sustainability knowledge positions me as a dedicated professional ready to contribute to projects that adhere to the highest standards of environmental responsibility. I am eager to leverage my skills in future endeavours that align with my commitment to creating a more sustainable and eco-friendly built environment.
