About Mitra Tabatabaee
As a molecular cell biologist with dual PhD, I bridge the worlds of microbiology and astrocyte neurobiology to explore the untapped potential of cells and address pressing global challenges in health and environmental resilience. My research focuses on two key areas. In both, we apply our knowledge of bacterial life to human health and adopt a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach. In education, I implement Socratic method and I am passionate about fostering curiosity and critical thinking. I design and lead dynamic courses incorporating collaborative and student-centered learning strategies. By mentoring students in research and teaching, I aim to empower the next generation of scientists with the skills to innovate and lead.
