About Mitzi Mickelsen
I have worked as a Registered Nurse since 1988 in various aspects of nursing, mostly acute care. I started my role as a nurse educator in about 2005 and worked in both areas until 2014 when I started as a full-time nurse educator. In this role, I have encouraged over 450 graduates through their degrees and have implemented strategies of motivation, leadership, and empowerment. I have had the opportunity to assist my manager in a leadership role as I covered for her completely for 2 consecutive 6-week intervals where I led my team and am willing to learn and grow in new areas of leadership opportunities. I am looking to further my personal and professional development in areas an opportunities that my current role does not have outlets. My long-range goals have changed and I am looking an environment where I can reach my goals and become more.
