I am a Circular Economy and Sustainability Expert with over 20 years of academic, research, and consultancy experience at the intersection of engineering innovation, policy, and global sustainability transitions. My expertise spans plastics recycling, waste valorization, e-waste management, ICT sustainability, renewable energy, and sustainable manufacturing. As an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos, I have led cutting-edge research and postgraduate training that link technical excellence with societal impact. Internationally, I have collaborated through a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Johannesburg, Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility at Haliç University, and participation in UN and global sustainability platforms, where I contribute to circular economy debates shaping Africa’s and the world’s future. Beyond academia, I actively engage in policy-oriented research and capacity building: designing strategies for circular economy adoption, supporting small-scale recyclers, and advising on frameworks like Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). I also serve on editorial boards and review for leading international journals, advancing knowledge at the frontier of sustainable materials and waste-to-energy innovation.
