Innovation is critical to the long term growth of the petrochemical industry. Innovation can come in a variety of areas such as new product development and process improvement, all aimed at identifying ways to improve process efficiencies, increase production yields, and improve energy utilization, as well as supply chain optimization, among others. While the pursuit of innovation would seem to be an obvious objective within in the chemicals manufacturing industry, its execution can be constrained by a number of factors such as the aversion to technical risk in fundamental chemical process unit operation innovation. This is where I come in to design, develop and implement products and process improvement solutions in such a way that foresees risks and avoids disasters while maximizing the ROI. Over the last 15 years working as a Chemical Process Engineer, I've developed my skills in: • Managing all aspects of process system installations including design development, engineering, equipment procurement, construction and commissioning, document control, OEM/Vendor and Contractor management. • Designing process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrument diagrams (P & ID), equipment arrangements, piping systems, material handling, functional specifications, as well as process instrumentation & control (I&C) principles. • Industrial project engineering and project management involving automated chemical distribution systems, facility improvements, providing daily production support and improving safety and environmental compliance. • Quality assurance of engineering designs, including process simulation input & output data, and process safety. • Developing operational procedures and post-production reports in order to create more efficient processes.
