About Mofei Xu

I draw upon 10+ years of experience working with the Asian community (including immigrants and international students), 7+ years in career coaching and in teaching courses and workshops on job search strategies. Through coaching I can help you to- Gain clarity on next steps by assessing your goals, interests, priorities- Navigate a complex or foreign hiring process- Identify skills and communicate that across applications or interviews- Advocate for yourself in a professional setting- Gain confidence and skills to get unstuckAs an Asian immigrant, woman, and mother, I understand the intricate dance between work and life. I know the cultural expectations, parental responsibilities, and societal perceptions. I’ve experienced the self-doubt, the fear and guilt, and the pressure to perform. I’ve navigated the complexities of the education system, the fluctuations of the job market, and the social dynamics of a foreign country, challenging stereotypes along the way. I understand what’s it like to look different, sound different, think different, act different, be different in the workplace. From the lunch you bring to work to the leadership style you gravitate to, I understand because I experienced it first hand myself. My holistic approach to coaching is comprehensive and personalized. I take the time to understand your unique goals, aspirations, background and needs. I offer guidance to boost your confidence, refine your public speaking/advocacy skills and provide you strategies to navigate your current situation or to embark on a job search. Ultimately, my goal is to guide you to a place where your whole authentic self is valued.
