I am currently employed as the Manager Innovation and Technology at Rand Water and have an in-depth knowledge of both the developing as well as the developed markets having successfully executed projects in the African continent and involved with numerous collaborative studies globally. My experience as an Acting Managing Director of Rand Water Services (a subsidiary of Rand Water), Business Unit Manager Technology Management and Innovation, Business Development Manager, Scientist (Biotechnology), knowledge of engineering solutions, utilities, water industry, the pharmaceutical industry, as well as Rand Water enables me to articulate clear and compelling strategies geared at driving growth, spurring innovation and sales within any organization. I have a very strong technical foundation (science and engineering) and in combination with my business and leadership skills have been able to develop a competitive offering enabling me to add value to any organization. I have a very strong network of global contacts with a strong focus on Singapore, Netherlands, Africa and USA and have successfully lead delegations from South Africa into these countries and have been instrumental in hosting foreign deleagtions in South Africa. By virtue of previous studies i.e. Masters in Business Leadership (MBL), Capital Budgeting, Biotechnology, Quality Management and growth in the developing markets, and of my current position at Rand Water, together with my vast experience in the water industry, I have been able to develop and accentuate my technical and leadership skills to become a dynamic and confident individual. I consider myself to be a change agent and that in today’s high-velocity markets, change is not only necessary, but it is also expected. I consider myself to be an inspirational leader, who is capable of setting high standards of performance. I have an excellent relationship with others and I am capable of working in groups as well as independently.
