About Mogens Arentoft

After almost 3 years at MAN Energy Solutions, the Group of Production Engineering is formed as the unit I planned when I started. MAN-ES has invested heavily in digital tools, so the NC-programming and process simulation now are digital operations ensuring high quality, efficiency and high-skill jobs for the whole group. Combined with other initiatives, Production Engineering at MAN-ES is now considered in DK- top-3 within digital manufacturing. During my career at IPU, I have developed from being a young dedicated engineer with expertise in metal forming into an experienced Head of Division with responsibility for different technical areas. I have worked as a project manager and coordinator of EU projects aspiring to be Group Manager for IPU Process Technology, which I became in 2007, and later Head of Division for IPU Technology Development. As the manager of 15 highly educated colleagues working within different disciplines, I have been the exponent for the benefit deriving from the synergy effect of working cross disciplinary. I have been an active participant in and project manager of several major development projects, where ideas are developed into concepts, function models and prototypes, which later are prepared for production. In such cases, communication with subsuppliers, the methods Design for Manufacture (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA) and "reduced time to profit" are natural elements. I have learned that my structural way of working and the pleasure I take in collaborating with colleagues are valuable characteristics in such situations. During the past three years, my knowledge and experience within process and production technology have led to assignments within review of production lines with the aim of optimising the manufacturing processes, process chains, robustness, lean production and validation. I see the personal satisfaction gained when creating expansion in a company as the motive power for my future work. My leadership is based on trust with respect for colleagues' opinions. I solve tasks on the basis of a business oriented strategy. I am social of nature with a humoristic attitude. I value teamwork and feel well with people around me. I am a much liked colleague, who works systematically, goal-oriented and visionary.
