About Mohammad Alshomrani

I did my Clinical Attachment at the Cardiac Center in St.George's Hospital, London, UK (2005 till 2007), I worked at the Non invasive lab (ECG, ETT, Ambulatory ECG, Echocardiography), I also worked at the Invasive Cath lab, EP Lab and Cardiac EP Device Clinic. I did & completed my logbook at St.George's Hospital and I was assessed in all areas where I worked. I also obtained the SCST membership (Part of British Cardiac Society), I passed the two exams of the Society (First in year 2005, Second in year 2007). I am the first saudi who obtained this degree as (Full time study). I am working now as Senior Specialist Cardiac EP Physiologist at King Abdullah Medical City - Makkah, Saudi Arabia. I am running the Service of Cardiac EP Device Clinic and EP Lab since year 2011. I have participated in the establishment of Cardiac Cath lab & EP Lab services at King Abdullah Medical City with the support of his Excellency Dr.Yaseen Mallawi (The Cheif Executive Officer of King Abdullah Medical City), I also have established the Cardiac EP Device Clinic (Pacemaker, ICD & CRT-D follow up) Clinic and started the service in 2011. I designed and generated all the Pacing and ICD implant and follow up forms which were approved by the CEO and used them since 2011. I have extensive experience in the Cardiac EP Devices Rhythm Management (Pacemakers, ICDs, and BIV/ICDs) implants, follow up and troubleshooting. I also work in the EP Lab and responsible of all clinical related duties. On the top of this, I am working as Cardiac Cath lab & EP Lab Manager at King Abdullah Medical City, Makkah since 2011. I am working as Head of Cardiac Technology Department (units under my responsibility are Cath Lab Techs Unit, EP Lab Techs Unit, Echo Lab Techs Unit and General Cardiac Techs unit). I am also the head of Cardiac Logistic Department. I am the Program Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology Diploma Program & Cardiac Electrophysiology Tutor and Clinical Instructor. Recently in 2019, I obtained the Master Degree in Health & Hospital Administration with excellent grade from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I am a member of Saudi Heart Rhythm Society Board.
