About Mohammad Mohiuddin

Hello! My name is Mohammad Mohiuddin, and I am a PhD student at the University of Ferrara in Italy. In addition to my studies, I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh, where I have been a faculty member since 2013. From April 2022 to April 2023, I was a visiting scholar at Minnesota State University in Mankato, USA. I completed both my undergraduate and master's degrees at the Department of Sociology at the University of Dhaka, graduating in 2008 and 2010, respectively. During my studies, I conducted extensive research on ethnicity and minorities, with a particular focus on the indigenous communities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. Currently, my primary research focus is on the Rohingya refugees who have faced genocide in their home country of Myanmar. My main research interests include environmental sustainability, refugee issues and genocide, ethnicity and minority studies, and gender and development. I am open to collaborating on research and publications with students, researchers, and faculty members on these topics, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, I am available to review and assess research papers for national and international journals, as well as master's theses, MPhil dissertations, and PhD dissertations.
