About Mohammad Moniruzzaman
MONIRUZZAMAN is a public health specialist who obtained his M. Phil and a Ph.D. degree in Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) in 2011 and 2021, respectively, and further trained on NCDs from the University of Oxford. Previously he served the WHO Bangladesh for three yrs. He completed his 1st JSPS postdoctoral training (1.5 years) in Japan. He is now pursuing his 2nd postdoctoral training(NCD epidemiology) at the National Institute of Health, Bethesda, USA. He is a fellow of the ISCEP and a member of the IEA. He is selected as an ‘Emerging Leader’ by the World Heart Federation for its presidential initiative of reducing mortality from CVDs by 25% by 2025. He is a Hopkins-trained tobacco control expert.
