Currently, I'm leveraging my Master's in Electrical Engineering and Automation at EG Deutschland GmbH to spearhead the development of new EV charging infrastructure for Esso gas stations across Germany. In this role, I lead the planning process for these stations, ensuring optimal integration with existing infrastructure and future needs. My responsibilities also encompass conducting market analyses to identify the most suitable charging technologies and vendors for both EV and PV systems. Furthermore, I coordinate closely with key EV charging operators, ensuring smooth project execution and seamless integration of charging infrastructure at Esso gas stations. My Master's thesis, titled "Evaluating Electric Vehicle Charging Systems at Gas Stations: A Monte Carlo Simulation-Based Approach for Infrastructure Planning ", explored the technical feasibility of integrating High-Power Direct Current (HPDC) charging stations into gas station infrastructure. Utilizing a case study from Augsburg, Germany, I developed and implemented a Monte Carlo simulation model. This model allowed me to estimate EV demand patterns and optimize the sizing of Battery Storage Systems (BSS) for efficient operation. The thesis compared two configurations – a traditional transformer setup and an innovative system incorporating BSS and Photovoltaic (PV) systems analyzing their financial viability and operational efficiency from a technical standpoint. This research provided valuable insights for decision-makers looking to optimize EV charging infrastructure in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape. On a personal note, I'm a creative individual and a cooperative team player. Beyond academics, I express myself through music as a self-taught musician and co-founder/manager of an artistic record label. My musical style leans towards raw and experimental sounds, heavily influenced by traditional Arabic music.
